What is Somewhere to Eat?
Somewhere to Eat is a private dining experience that is open to invited guests from the public.

Is it a restaurant?
The meals take place in private homes.

When and where do the meals take place?
To learn about future meals, please join the mailing list by using our contact page. Most of the meals will take place in Inwood or Washington Heights.

What kind of food will be served?
Diners will enjoy a fixed menu of at least 4 courses, along with wine and coffee. Menus will be announced in advance as works in progress. A finalized menu will be announced a few days before the meal. Every reasonable effort will be made to make all the food from scratch, from the first crusty bread to dessert. High quality, organic, local and natural ingredients will be used when ever possible. Some meals will be traditional, others more adventurous.

Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes! Please bring whatever you like. There will be two glasses of red or white table wine with the meal.

Who else will be there?
Guests will be other people like you, who are looking for a unique dining experience. They may be the neighbors in your building you’ve never met!

What about large parties?
As the dinners take place in private homes, seating is limited. However, it may be possible to reserve the entire table if you plan ahead.

Is this free?
A suggested donation will be announced with the menu.
